To receive the Koop Award, there are three considerations:
- The program must meet The Health Project’s goal of reducing the need and demand for medical services,
- The program must share the objectives of the Healthy People health promotion targets, and
- The program must prove net health care and/or productivity cost reductions while improving population health.
